Prior to their final 2023 preseason game, the Dallas Cowboys added a young, talented signal caller to the quarterback room when sending a 2024 fourth round pick to the San Francisco 49ers for Trey Lance, the former third overall pick from the 2021 NFL Draft. While learning under veteran quarterbacks Dak Prescott and Cooper Rush in Dallas, Lance will continue to develop his dual-threat abilities that made him such a sought after prospect in the Draft. Along with 797 career passing yards, Lance has rushed for 235 yards on 54 carries (4.4 avg.) in eight career games. Lance began the 2022 season as San Francisco's starting quarterback before suffering a season-ending ankle injury in Week 2.
