Both Romo & Murray Nominated For FedEx Air & Ground Player Of The Week

IRVING, Texas – DeMarco Murray has some Cowboys company on this week's ballot for the FedEx Air & Ground Player of the Week.

It's become basically a weekly fixture for Murray to appear for the weekly award, which honors the best rushing and passing performers from every week. This time around, he's joined by Tony Romo – who torched the Jaguars in his first game back from a back injury.

Fans can vote for both players until 2 p.m. CT on Thursday at NFL.com/FedEx. FedEx will make a $2,000 donation to the Dallas chapter of the American Red Cross if either player wins this week's award.

Romo went 20-of-27 for 246 yards and three touchdowns on Sunday night at Wembley Stadium. In the second quarter alone, he connected with Dez Bryant six times for 158 yards and two scores. It was his first action since Oct. 27, when he broke two transverse processes in his back while taking a sack against the Washington Redskins.

He'll be facing some stiff competition, as both Denver's Peyton Manning and Green Bay's Aaron Rodgers were both nominated for the award, as well.

Murray has won the Ground portion of the award a whopping five times so far this season, including four times in a row between Week 4 and Week 7. He has since ceded the honor to New Orleans' Mark Ingram, in Week 8, and Cincinnati's Jeremy Hill, in Week 9. Murray's 19-carry, 100-yard performance in the win against the Jaguars was enough to put him in consideration. He also caught six passes for 31 yards.

Seattle's Marshawn Lynch and Baltimore's Justin Forsett were also nominated this week.
