Despite playing last week against the Redskins with a deep thigh uise, wide receiver Dez Bryant isn't out of the woods on this injury by any means.
In fact, he's probably looking forward to the upcoming bye week as much as any other player.
Bryant did not practice on Thursday at Valley Ranch, still nursing the thigh injury he sustained back in Week One against the Jets that caused him to miss the following game in San Francisco and clearly had him limited against Washington at times on Monday night.
And with Bryant out, along with wide receiver Miles Austin, who is likely to miss his second straight game with a hamstring injury, it leaves an inexperienced group of receivers in Kevin Ogletree, Laurent Robinson, Jesse Holley and Dwayne Harris.
Bryant and Austin was one of a handful of starters and significant contributors to miss Thursday's practice, along with defensive end Jason Hatcher (calf), cornerback Orlando Scandrick (ankle) and guard Derrick Dockery (knee).
