IRVING, Texas --After missing four games with a groin strain, David Buehler practiced this week without any setbacks and says he's ready to resume kickoffs Sunday night against the Eagles.
"It's tough watching on the sidelines and not being able to contribute, but I'm finally healthy and able to get back on the field," Buehler said Friday.
With a relatively healthy roster, head coach Jason Garrett has some tough decisions in settling his 46 players for Sunday. But Buehler's leg would presumably provide an edge in field position, particularly in cold outdoor conditions.
Dan Bailey has handled kickoffs along with field goals in Buehler's absence. Last week against St. Louis, Bailey had one touchback on seven kickoffs. One landed out of bounds, another at the Rams' 6.
The Cowboys began the season with the idea of teaming the two kickers. Bailey has made 16 straight field goals, tying Nick Folk for the second-longest rookie streak in team history.
