Cowboys Celebrate Ribbon Cutting For Omni Frisco Hotel At The Star

FRISCO, Texas – Much like a jigsaw puzzle, the different pieces at the Cowboys' headquarters at The Star continue to come together to form an impressive picture.

The latest piece moved into place Friday morning, as Cowboys officials, joined by officials from the city of Frisco, celebrated the ribbon cutting for the Omni Frisco Hotel.

"We're so proud of this great facility, and we really our proud of Omni and we're proud to be associated," said Cowboys owner/general manager Jerry Jones.

Located adjacent to the Cowboys' headquarters and team facilities, the new hotel offers 300 guest rooms as well as 24,000 square feet of event space. It also features a lobby bar, a rooftop pool which overlooks the Tostitos Plaza and Ford Center, as well as Charlotte Jones Collection – an upscale fashin boutique coordinated by Cowboys executive vice president Charlotte Jones Anderson.

If that wasn't enough, the Omni Frisco Hotel is located just steps away from both The Star, as well as the collection of restaurants and retail outlets springing up at the Cowboys' 91-acre development.

"All of these things are really coming together in a way that makes The Star, as a whole, really feel like we wanted it to feel in terms of having the Cowboys brand involved," said Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones.

That certainly feels like the case, as the Cowboys continue to unveil new amenities at their new location. The team facility and headquarters have been open since last summer, but the Omni and several new restaurants have opened just within the last month, with more to follow.

On top of that, the Cowboys unveiled their Ring of Honor Walk, presented by Dr Pepper. Located just across the street from The Star, it commemorates and honors all 21 members of the Cowboys' Ring of Honor, complete with a personalized monument.

Debuting both the Ring of Honor Walk and the Omni within days of each other certainly gives cause for excitement.

"To turn around and do this in the same week – have an amazing place like this, which obviously represents the top of the top in terms of the hotel brand," said Stephen Jones. "To walk in and feel the Cowboys are a part of it, is certainly humbling."

There will be more to come. Retail and restaurant space will continue to open, and Charlotte Jones Anderson said that the Baylor Scott & White sports medicine complex at The Star is expected to open by the first day of 2018. The big picture in Frisco promises to become even more impressive.

But for the time being, the Omni Frisco Hotel is quite a beautiful piece of the puzzle.

"The Omni Frisco Hotel is truly a focal point of the luxury and entertainment experience we offer here at The Star," said Jerry Jones. "This hotel will cater not only to guests and fans from all over the country, but also the community of Frisco and visitors of The Star and Ford Center. Working with Omni has been a great pleasure and I personally cannot wait to see what the future holds for both of our brands."
