FRISCO, Texas — Instant classic. Those two words are often overused in sports nowadays but there could not be a more perfect description of what took place between the Dallas Cowboys and Washington Commanders when they locked horns at Northwest Stadium in Week 12.
It was one of, if not the, most electrifying upset of the entire NFL season.
That, of course, means Dan Quinn is looking for revenge in his return to AT&T Stadium for the first time since departing to take the helm as head coach for the bitter NFC East rival.
WHEN AND WHERE:
Date: Sunday, Jan. 5
Time: Noon CT
Location: AT&T Stadium (Arlington, TX)
But with the Commanders having clinched a playoff spot, Quinn is hoping to balance player health in the finale with trying to avoid being swept by the Cowboys and, in turn, having zero momentum heading into the postseason.
Mike McCarthy and Co. still have more to play for than pride, by the way, considering it's the final showing before contract conversations begin taking place for a list of coaches and players alike, and improving on a poor home record (2-6) that's helped torpedo the entirety of 2024.
Also, to put it plainly, it's your last chance to witness Cowboys' football until August, and that alone is enough reason for you to tune in.
