OXNARD, Calif. – Always on the lookout for potential pass rush help, the Cowboys held a scheduled workout with free agent defensive end Damontre Moore on Wednesday, according to reports.
Moore, who has not been signed, was the Giants' 2013 third-round pick out of Texas A&M. He has 9.5 career sacks with the Giants and Dolphins, who claimed him off waivers from New York last December.
Moore signed with the Raiders in May but was cut in early August, making him a free agent.
The Cowboys have dealt with injuries at defensive end in training camp – most recently David Irving (groin) and Charles Tapper (back) have sat out recent practice – and they know they'll be without DeMarcus Lawrence and Randy Gregory due to suspension when the season starts.
