IRVING, Texas --Safety Gerald Sensabaugh won't be free agent for a fourth straight offseason.
The Cowboys and their starting free safety agreed to a five-year extension Friday after Sensbaugh inked one-year deals with Dallas in each of the past three years.
Terms have not been disclosed yet.
Sensabaugh has been an active part of the defense this season, ranking second with 63 team-credited tackles, two interceptions, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries.
Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones indicated after Friday's practice that a deal might be close, saying with a smile, "That'd be great, you never know."
