Cowboys Sign Jonathan Cooper For O-Line Depth; Waive Guard Seymour

FRISCO, Texas – The Cowboys have officially signed guard Jonathan Cooper for depth on their offensive line as the playoffs near.

To make room for Cooper on the 53-man roster, the Cowboys waived guard Ryan Seymour, who was promoted from the practice squad before last Sunday's regular-season finale at Philadelphia.

Cooper, the seventh overall pick in the 2013 draft, made 11 starts for the Arizona Cardinals over two healthy seasons before he was traded to the New England Patriots this past offseason. The Cleveland Browns claimed him off waivers from New England in October and waived him on Dec. 27.

The Cowboys have been dealing with injuries on their interior offensive line. Starting left guard Ronald Leary (back) was active last Sunday against the Eagles but did not play. The team is hopeful guard La'el Collins (toe) can return from Reserve/Injured this season.
