The Cowboys have added another receiver to the mix, signing rookie free agent James Cleveland.
A former Univ. of Houston standout, Cleveland is yet another body to a receiver position that has some depth issues. Teddy Williams (hamstring) will be out a few more days and Jesse Holley (exclusive rights free agent) can't practice until the players union officially ratifies on Aug. 4.
Cleveland had a productive two seasons at Houston, including 101 catches in 2009 as a junior. He had 57 grabs last year in more of a limited role.
The Cowboys signed Tysson Poots on Sunday. Both Poots and Cleveland will likely start out at the bottom of the depth chart. There has been questions around camp if the Cowboys might add a veteran receiver, but so far Kevin Ogletree has done enough here in camp to prevent that scenario.
