FRISCO, Texas – The Cowboys don't have the Rams on their regular season schedule in 2024 but they'll see plenty of the NFC West opponent in the month of August.
The team confirmed on Thursday the Cowboys will have a joint practice with the Rams in Oxnard on Aug. 8, just three days before the preseason opener on Aug. 11.
The Rams will make the trip to the Cowboys' training camp home for a Thursday practice, which will be open to the public at the Oxnard River Ridge complex.
The Cowboys will then head to Los Angeles to play the Rams that Sunday at SoFi Stadium for the first of three preseason games.
Last year, head coach Mike McCarthy decided not to practice with another team during training camp, but in 2022, he held not one but two practices against other teams, practicing with the Broncos in Denver and then the Chargers in Los Angeles, before playing them in the preseason.
The Cowboys and Rams have met 28 times all-time in the preseason with the Rams owning a 16-12 advantage.
