FRISCO, Texas – The Cowboys waived cornerback Dax Swanson on Monday afternoon.
Chalk this up as the first 53-man roster move of the regular season. Swanson was one of the final members of the initial roster a week ago, but he was inactive for Sunday's 20-19 loss to the Giants.
Swanson was buried at the bottom of the cornerback depth chart, but he showed flashes of ability as a return man throughout the preseason.
The Cowboys have not made a corresponding roster move as of yet, so there is currently one open spot on the 53-man roster.
