Cole Beasley has dropped a rap song. Yes, you read that right.
The Cowboys' receiver announced this morning that he was releasing his debut song "80 Stings" from an album that will be released later this Spring. He also announced the formation of his new entertainment company "ColdNation Records" with music producer Victor "Phazz" Clark.
Beasley stated that music has been a passion of his for a while now. But he wants to make it clear that family is his first priority, followed by football and then music.
He said, "Some people may question my loyalty to football, but the passion for that WILL NOT change."
Beasley's teammates seem to be supportive, as many helped promote the new venture via social media with retweets or even their own posts:
At the end of the day, Beasley wants to do what makes him happy because "you only get one chance" at life.
With regards to his music, he stated, "I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed creating it."
