Although football technically ended a little over three weeks ago, fans are already hungry for the 2017 season. It may seem like forever until we see our favorite players lacing up and hitting the field but rest assured football action is right around the corner. The 2017 draft is 58 days away and mock draft talks have ramped up significantly.
Fans can find some sort of relief from their football withdrawal in the nonstop talk about who the Cowboys should draft with their 28th pick.
Although much of the talk has been about addressing defensive needs, a lot of fans were surprised with talks about the notion of drafting a tight end.
Dane Brugler over at CBSSports.com has the Cowboys drafting just that. He has the 'Boys taking O.J. Howard from Alabama. He suggests it would be hard for the Cowboys to pass up Howard if he were still on the board at the time of their pick. The rationale behind the pick would be to address the need for a tight end of the future, according to Brugler.
Mel Kiper from ESPN addressed a separate yet more popular view of who the Cowboys should draft. He has them going with Jalen "Teez" Tabor, a corner from the University of Florida. Fans were excited about this possibility seeing it as a step to beef up the defense. Peter Schrager from FoxSports.com agreed with that pick.
Another popular pick circulating the web is DE Taco Charlton from Michigan. Multiple sources from CBSSports.com have the Cowboys using their pick on Taco which addresses the needs on the defensive line.
All this talk about the draft and potential picks has #CowboysNation buzzing on social media. Here's who the fans think should be dressed in silver and blue this season:
