In the midst of an exhilarating win for the Cowboys, tight end Jason Witten became the 12th player in NFL history to reach 1,000 plus career receptions. The 1,000th catch came in the second quarter and social media erupted in support of Witten, only the 2nd tight end to make this elite list. On Twitter, several former and current athletes were happy for 82 and wanted to have the chance to congratulate him and celebrate the moment.

Witten wasn't the only Cowboy receiving praise via Twitter last night. With the winning kick in the closing seconds, Dan Bailey was the buzz on Twitter. Jordan Spieth is a Cowboys fan and is often seen on the sidelines at AT&T Stadium when his schedule allows. He often tweets during the games and last night was no exception.
Moments after Dan Bailey nailed the game winner, Spieth sent out a tweet saying he needed a Dan Bailey jersey. Shortly after, professional tennis player Andy Roddick wanted Spieth to grab him one when he went to the pro shop.

The pro shop better stock up on No. 5 jerseys. Looks like he's going to be a fan favorite for a while.
