The Cowboys upped their win streak to six games this past Sunday with a win at home over the New York Giants. The last time the team put together 6 wins in a row, 2007.
DeMarco Murray ran for 100-yards for the seventh straight game to open the season, something that had never been done in the history of the NFL. Both were noticed in a couple of major NFL power rankings.
NFL.com has the Boys moving up two spots to No. 2, recognizing DeMarco Murray's durability this season. "DeMarco Murray has really shown us something this season. And I'm not talking about productivity -- I'm talking about durability. The holes were not there much of the day against the Giants, yet Murray made something out of nothing en route to 128 rushing yards. And Tony Romo? Completed some unreal throws in some tight windows."
ESPN.com has the team moving up one spot placing them at No. 2 as well. "DeMarco Murray has an NFL-record seven straight 100-yard rushing games to start the season and the Cowboys get a home game against a Brian Orakpo-less Redskins defense. Look out."
This team definitely has a different look and feel to it this year. As a Cowboys fan, is it time to "eat the cheese"?
