IRVING, Texas – The Cowboys have launched a new account on the rapidly growing social media platform, Snapchat, under the handle @cowboys.
Snapchat is an application that allows users to take photos or record videos and add text or drawings to them. These creations can then be sent out to a specified list of recipients or put into a "story" where anyone that follows the account can view them. Each photo or video can only be viewed for a specific amount of time set by the creator.
The Cowboys will use Snapchat to give fans a behind the scenes look at the team through videos and pictures with a fun twist. Expect "snaps" of everything involving the team, from player to cheerleaders and Rowdy as well.
The team launched the account this morning and plans to utilize it to document their travels to Oxnard today for training camp.
