The second episode of Deep Blue Season 10 features one of the fastest players for the Cowboys, the NFL, and at one time, the entire world.
In fact, "Bullet" Bob Hayes is known for changing the way defenses were played because of his world-class speed. The Olympic gold medalist sprinter, who became a Pro Bowl wide receiver for the Cowboys, was so fast, teams started to use the zone defense for the first time in an attempt to contain him.
But in this week's documentary "Bob Hayes: The Fast Lane," the team of Kurt Daniels, Roxanne Medina, Nicole Hutchison and Kevin Timmons, takes a closer look at Hayes' life both on the track, on the field and certainly off the field, where Hayes endured some of his biggest challenges.
While Hayes eventually got into the Ring of Honor and Pro Football Hall of Fame, it was some of his off-field history that led to him being overlooked for so long, and perhaps while he's not considered even higher among the greatest receivers and greatest athletes of all-time.
