The Cowboys officially listed cornerback Orlando Scandrick as questionable for Sunday's game with the Redskins. But according to the veteran, it sounds like he's fully expecting to play.
Scandrick was held out of portions of Thursday's practice with a nagging hamstring injury. However, he said he's going to play this week, stating, "I'm fine" when pressed again about his status for Sunday.
Obviously, Scandrick's coverage skills, along with his experience, will be needed even more this week when the Cowboys take on pass-happy Washington. Kirk Cousins attempted 43 passes last week and the Redskins have some speedy receivers in DeSean Jackson and Jamison Crowder. Veteran Pierre Garcon has always given the Cowboys problems as well.
Scandrick also lines up regularly as the slot corner but the Cowboys have given rookie Anthony Brown some work inside as well.
Scandrick has seven career interceptions on six different teams. The Redskins are the only team he's picked off twice in his career.
