PRO CON
Perennial leader and disruptive force on the defensive line. Uses impressive upper-body strength and a wide range of pass-rush moves to win his matchups. With a knack for finding the football, Carter is always looking to force a turnover and never quits on a play. May be limited from an athletic standpoint at the next level. Not going to win with unbelievable athleticism or agility. Caught off balance at times with limited lower-body power. More of a pass-rush specialist than a run-stuffing anchor.

OVERVIEW: Carter leaves Durham as one of the most productive defensive linemen in Duke history. He finished his career ranked fourth in forced fumbles, 11th in sacks and logged over 2,600 career snaps. Along with his incredible production, he was named the first three-time captain in program history, showing leadership and how much respect he gained from his peers. Teams won't have any problem pairing his on-field traits with his football IQ and motor. His longevity will instead depend on if he's hit his athletic ceiling or not.
