FRISCO, Texas – Friday featured one last episode of "The Draft Show" before the start of the 2019 NFL Combine.
Starting next week, all 32 NFL teams will descend on Indianapolis for the annual Combine, which features most of the biggest names in this year's draft class.
That was the focus of this start of this week's show, as Bryan Broaddus, Dane Brugler and David Helman prepped for what to expect next week in Indy.
Here are some highlights from the show.
- In previewing the Combine, Dane talked about prospects that have the most to gain. Interior defensive linemen like Rashan Gary and Ed Oliver are guys he pegged as players with a big opportunity to take center stage with impressive measurables. There was also a brief conversation about quarterbacks such as Dwayne Haskins, Kyler Murray and Daniel Jones, who will have a chance to impress teams with their intangibles.
- As always, the guys took fan questions during the second segment of the show. Those questions led to conversations about Florida defensive back Chauncey Gardner-Johnson, as well as Wake Forest receiver Greg Dortch.
- There were also two fun hypotheticals: who will the New York Jets target with the third overall pick, and who would the Cowboys draft if they could have any offensive player in this draft class?
- The final segment of the show featured a segment called "Who Would You Fight For," where the guys picked out prospects they felt passionately about. The conversation included Florida Atlantic running back Devin Singletary, Michigan State cornerback Justin Lane and Mississippi State center Elgton Jenkins.
