Ex-Cowboy Choice Waived By Redskins

Two days after making his debut with the Redskins, ex-Cowboys running back Tashard Choice is again looking for a new team.

Washington announced Choice's release on Tuesday to make room on the 53-man roster for running back Evan Royster, their sixth-round draft pick.

Waived by Dallas on Oct. 31 due partly to a multiple-week hamstring injury, Choice had six carries for seven yards against his old team Sunday on his 27th birthday.

He gained 75 yards on 28 carries (2.7 avg) in six games as the Cowboys' third running back this season. Rookie Phillip Tanner has since taken that role.
