Cowboys wide receiver Brice Butler was a month shy of turning 3 years old when his father, Bobby, played in the last game of his 12-year NFL career, all spent with the Atlanta Falcons. Brice has a fleeting memory of being in the locker room during that final season, but otherwise, his knowledge of his father's life in football has come mainly through old stories and highlight videos.[embeddedad0]
So when Brice came back to the Valley Ranch television department to tape this final segment of Fathers, Sons & Football, his first question was whether there was any game film on hand of his father. Someone found a tape of a Falcons matchup against the Cowboys and Brice sat there transfixed watching his dad, who as a cornerback finished his NFL run with 27 interceptions and four touchdowns.
In this video interview, Brice talks about how his father prepared him for his own career in football, and how their relationship has developed from father-son to more being best friends over the last few years.
