Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett was in attendance Thursday in Tuscaloosa, Ala., as three stars from national champion Alabama -- safety Mark Barron, linebacker Courtney Upshaw and running back Trent Richardson -- participated in essentially a make-up Pro Day.
Barron, a Thorpe Award finalist, told Al.com he ran a 4.51-second 40-yard dash and was about "80 to 90 percent" coming off sports hernia surgery.
Upshaw, who would likely play outside linebacker in the Cowboys' 3-4 defense, weighed in at 279 pounds -- six pounds heavier than his Combine weight.
After missing Alabama's first Pro Day with a knee injury, Richardson went through all but two drills. Although the Cowboys may consider drafting a running back at some point -- likely after Day 1 -- Richardson has a chance to crack the top 10.
