Judging by the emails and tweets, a lot of fans are worried. The fact it's the future of a football team that has them concerned, and not something much more important, is kind of nice to think about. Anyway, there is so much time between now and the start of the season, especially with the entire veteran acquisition period still to come, both free agency and trades totally in play.
Yes, there's reason to be optimistic. At this point every year, no one really knows what the fall will bring. And no one really knows when good news might just pop up unexpectedly. But there's no reason to be afraid, and the only thing to fear is fear itself, as the man said.
9/11/11 ... Cowboys-Jets, and the return of the NFL. It's going to be the second-best Sunday night all year.
