FRISCO, Texas – The Cowboys continue to add secondary depth in the wake of Byron Jones' departure to the Dolphins.
Cornerback C.J. Goodwin has agreed to terms on a one-year deal that will bring him back to Dallas for a third season. The 30-year-old has appeared in 19 games over the past two years
in a reserve role.
Goodwin's greatest value has been on special teams. He led the Cowboys with 10 special teams tackles last season and has been a core contributor since 2018. His return is an important
piece for new coordinator John Fassel.
The Cowboys reached deals with cornerbacks Anthony Brown and Maurice Canady earlier this week.
