Hatcher Nears Return; D-Line Getting Healthy

IRVING, Texas-- Coming off a positive rehab workout Monday, defensive end Jason Hatcher plans to practice Wednesday and is optimistic about returning against the Eagles.

If so, the Cowboys' defensive line would get back to full strength for the first time since Hatcher strained his calf Sept. 26 in the second quarter against the Redskins.

Hatcher provided good pressure in three starts at right end, recording two sacks and two quarterback hurries. Marcus Spears, a six-year starter prior to this season, has played well in Hatcher's absence, too.

Such depth is a good situation for defensive coordinator Rob Ryan.

"We have fun over here. We don't bicker about who's the starter and who's not," Hatcher said. "We've got a great six-man rotation (on the line), so anybody can play."
