DETROIT – Running back DeMarco Murray will not play Sunday against the Lions after practicing on a limited basis all week with a sprained knee.

Murray and defensive end DeMarcus Ware are among the team's seven inactives. That list also includes wide receiver Miles Austin, safety J.J. Wilcox, linebacker DeVonte Holloman, center Phil Costa and tackle Darrion Weems.

Expect Joseph Randle to return to a similar role he had last week as the team's primary back with Murray out. The Cowboys may also work in Lance Dunbar, who's returning this week after a hamstring injury, and running back Phillip Tanner.

Austin also practiced on a limited basis throughout the week and was questionable entering the weekend, but his hamstring injury will keep him out. Austin is one of four starters out against the Lions, along with Murray, Ware and Wilcox.

The Cowboys had eight players listed as probable for this week's game, and all of them will be active, including wide receiver Dez Bryant and cornerback Morris Claiborne.
