ARLINGTON, Texas – Rolando McClain and Henry Melton will be active for Sunday night's game against the New Orleans Saints.
The Cowboys released their seven-man inactive list Sunday evening, ruling Dustin Vaughan, Tyler Patmon, Korey Toomer, Davon Coleman, Donald Hawkins, Lavar Edwards and Terrell McClain out for Week 4.
Both Melton and Rolando McClain were listed as questionable on Friday and were uncertain to play in the game. Neither player practiced Wednesday nor Thursday. Both were limited during the team's light practice on Friday.
Melton suffered a hamstring injury last week during the win against St. Louis, while McClain sat out against the Rams with a groin injury he sustained in Week 2 against Tennessee. The addition of both after a week of uncertainty is huge for the Cowboys, as McClain is No. 2 on the team in tackles and [embedded_ad] Melton is one of just two defensive linemen with a sack to his name.
It's not all good news for the Cowboys defense, however. With both Terrell McClain and Coleman listed as inactive, the depth at defensive tackle behind Melton and Nick Hayden is thin. The Cowboys will likely ask Tyrone Crawford to move inside in some situations to offset those losses.
Also worth noting is that Anthony Spencer is active for the first time this season, and he is expected to play.
