IRVING, Texas – With a short practice week beginning Tuesday, the availability of two defensive starters is currently uncertain for Saturday's home matchup with the Jets.
Cornerback Mo Claiborne exited with a tight hamstring in the fourth quarter of Sunday's 28-7 loss to the Packers. Rookie Byron Jones moved over from safety to replace Claiborne in the lineup.
"We'll take it day by day, but we don't think it's a severe injury," Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett said. "So we'll see how he does here the next couple of days."
Garrett also said linebacker Rolando McClain is going through concussion protocol this week after taking an accidental kick to the helmet in the second half.
If McClain were to be unavailable against the Jets, second-year veteran Anthony Hitchens would likely get more snaps.
