James, Scandrick To Have Surgery

Two defensive regulars -- starting inside linebacker/defensive captain Bradie James and nickel cornerback Orlando Scandrick -- are set for offseason surgery within the next week or so.

Scandrick is scheduled for a second surgery this Tuesday on his left index finger, which he had repaired this past May after fracturing it during an Organized Team Activity (OTA) workout. He returned for training camp wearing a splint and played all 16 regular-season games.

A week from Tuesday, James is scheduled for surgery on his left knee. A sprained posterior cruciate ligament (PCL) in his right knee limited his practice work for the last several weeks of the season, but he did not miss a game. That right knee will not need surgery; the left knee will have a clean-up of some tissue within James' patellar tendon.
