Jerry Pondering HOF Presenter: "A Lot Of People Made This Happen"

FRISCO, Texas – Jerry Jones will be formally inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame on Aug. 5 in Canton.

Just a few days after learning he'd join the Hall of Fame Class of 2017, the Cowboys' longtime owner/general manager says he hasn't yet picked a presenter to introduce him at his induction ceremony.

"I've had a few brief thoughts but nothing definitive," Jones said Wednesday on 105.3 The Fan. I don't have to make that decision for quite a while.

"It's obviously one that I want to give a lot of thought to because if there's ever been a recognition that really had as its backdrop a lot of people, this one is."

Jones recognized all the support he's received and all the colleagues he's worked with since becoming the team's owner/GM in 1989, including his three children – Stephen Jones, Charlotte Jones Anderson and Jerry Jones Jr. – who all have vital roles within the organization.

"A lot of people made this happen," he said.
