IRVING, Texas – The Jones Family was nationally recognized by Town&Country Magazine for its philanthropy on Monday.

The Joneses placed seventh in the magazine's list of "The 10 Most Generous Families," which was released in its May issue. The article cited the family's relationship with The Salvation Army among several reasons for inclusion in the list, which was topped by Bill and Melinda Gates.

"Owner of America's most valuable sports team and ardent supporter of The Salvation Army, Jerry Jones has used the Dallas Cowboys' Thanksgiving halftime show to raise $1.6 billion for charity over the last 16 years, and he has donated $1 million to the Library of Congress," the article said.
