Some seem to think the team should use one of their first three picks on an offensive tackle. But by doing so, wouldn't the Cowboys then be hampering the developmental progress of last year's first-round pick? I can see drafting another offensive tackle on Day 3, but with so many other needs, don't they need to find out what they have in Tyler Guyton before using a top-100 draft pick on another tackle? – Henry Thomas/Shreveport, LA

Mickey: I'm right there with you Henry. To me that would be a bit high to select another tackle. They sure need to see the Guyton selection through. Remember, Guyton was an inexperienced tackle, and if you remember, they knew he was a work in progress. So, they went through growing pains last year, now let's see if there is some growth. And also remember they did like Asim Richards, too, so if nothing else let those guys compete, and whichever one doesn't win the starting job train as the backup swing tackle, a position they really don't have. Also, if they do like an offensive lineman during the first two days of the draft, then make sure it's a tackle who can move inside to guard, possibly win the starting right guard spot and then eventually move out to tackle. The Cowboys have done that previously with success.

Tommy: I think there's a chance that offensive tackle is an early pick if a player that's on their board is still available, but I don't think it'll be at 12. It's still too early to tell what Tyler Guyton can be, and Terrence Steele was coming off an injury this past season and recently got a big paycheck, so I don't see Dallas moving on from either too early. That's not to say it can't happen, but if it does, I'd expect a lot of competition for a starting job or the possibility of somebody getting moved around or maybe inside to guard too.
