Given the current state of the free agents in the secondary, do you think Jeff Heath will be given an opportunity to earn the chance to start next year?
Bryan: I could see them trying to re-sign one of those safeties, whether it's Church or Wilcox. If that doesn't work out then you could see Heath get a chance with Frazier as well. I would not be surprised if they looked at a safety in this draft. Several to choose from that can cover.
David:By this point in his career, I'd like to think Jeff Heath has silenced the critics that think he can't play. That said, I don't know that I think the Cowboys should head into 2017 with him as a presumed starter. If they can't bring back Barry Church at a reasonable price, I'd at least try to bolster the position in the draft.

Since the Dallas staff has the mindset of not picking for need, but selecting the best player available, what position do you perceive will be the first Cowboy pick in the 2017 draft?
Bryan: I wouldn't be surprised if they took a tight end at No. 28. I am not sure that O.J. Howard would get to them, but if he's there he would be hard to pass on. They might also look at an offensive tackle to replace Doug Free in the future.
David:Just looking at the draft class, this seems to be an awfully deep year for cornerbacks. Take a look at the names – Marlon Humphrey, Quincy Wilson, Marshon Lattimore, Sidney Jones, Tre'Davious White, Teez Tabor. And that's just the upper echelon. That's an encouraging sign for a team that picks 28th overall. Maybe one of these guys drops to the Cowboys.
