IRVING, Texas – Grammy-Award winning singer Mary J. Blige will perform the national anthem prior to the Cowboys' Thanksgiving Day game against the Raiders on Nov. 28 at AT&T Stadium.

The singer, songwriter, actress and philanthropist will kick off the game with the anthem, while double-platinum recording artist and actress Selena Gomez performs during the halftime show.

Blige, who performed the national anthem at Fenway Park prior to the first game of the 2013 World Series, recently released her [embedded_ad] first-ever holiday album, A Mary Christmas. She's sold more than 50 million records, including eight multi-platinum albums, and has nine Grammy Awards and four American Music Awards.

"After hearing Mary perform the National Anthem during the World Series, we could not think of a better singer to invite to our Thanksgiving Day game," said Charlotte Anderson, executive vice president and chief brand officer of the Cowboys.  "Her stirring rendition of the anthem on that national stage was moving.  With the nation's football fans focused on AT&T Stadium for our traditional holiday game, we wanted an entertainer that could deliver just that type of performance to kick off what will be a great game."
