Micah says 'chances are high' he plays vs. Philly

FRISCO, Texas – It's been nearly six weeks since Micah Parsons has been on the field, but that ended Wednesday when he returned to practice from a high-ankle sprain.

More importantly, the bigger question is what this means for his chances to play Sunday against the Eagles.

"My chances are high, but we've just got to see how the practice week goes," Parsons said on Wednesday in the locker room. "See what measures we have to take to play this game."

Parsons said "I feel great" but when asked about any limitations, the All-Pro pass-rusher said he's got to knock off the rust, and catch his breath as well.

"I just got to get the feel of the rush," he said. "I feel like I'm starting all over. My lungs were hurting out there, so it's basically like I'm re-starting my season all over again. So, it's just going to be an interesting week."

That obviously, is an understatement considering the Cowboys will limp into this game Sunday against the Eagles with a three-game losing streak and now playing without starting quarterback Dak Prescott who has a hamstring injury.

The Cowboys have other players on IR or recently been removed such as DaRon Bland, but it does appear as if Parsons has the best chance to return to action.

And they certainly need him, considering he's missed the last five games, but still leads the team with 21 quarterback pressures.

The Cowboys don't have a player with more than three sacks and Parsons said it's been frustrating to watch the team play some close games, knowing he could've made a difference.

"It's tough because I feel like I could've made an impact in these games," Parsons said. "In those games where we're losing by six points I definitely feel like I can make a difference. Six-point game, you tell me (that) me and (DeMarcus Lawrence) can't make a difference, an extra stop in a one-score game. It's hard for me to believe that we can't. So my goal, if I'm up this week is to go out and prove that."
