FRISCO, Texas – Cowboys owner/general manager Jerry Jones says he decided within the last week who will present him at his Pro Football Hall of Fame induction ceremony Saturday, Aug. 5 in Canton, Ohio.
He isn't ready divulge the name just yet.
"I have decided that. It has been very well-received by everybody that I'm close to, family or otherwise," Jones said Monday. "We'll make a little special time for that (announcement)."
Jones likely has had no shortage of options for a presenter given his significant contributions to the Cowboys and the NFL in general since buying the franchise in 1989. He didn't provide a hint Monday, though.
Jones is one of seven men who will be formally enshrined in Canton on Aug. 5, joining Morten Andersen, Terrell Davis, Kenny Easley, Jason Taylor, LaDainian Tomlinson and Kurt Warner.
Two nights before his induction, the Cowboys will open the preseason with the Hall of Fame Game against the Arizona Cardinals at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium in Canton.
