Pacquiao Fight Tour Coming To Town

While Cowboys Stadium is primed to host plenty of on-field scuffles this season, the biggest fight coming to town will be in November when super welterweight champ Manny Pacquiao returns for his second fight in Arlington.

And to preview the Nov. 13 fight with Antonio Margarito, the two fighters will be in town on Friday, Sept. 3 for a public press conference on the field at Cowboys Stadium at 11:30 a.m. (CDT).

It's the final leg of three-city tour involving both fighters as they promote the fight all week long, beginning Aug. 31 in Los Angeles, followed by a Sept. 1 stop in New York before arriving to the scene of the fight on Friday.

Boxing promoter Bob Arum held a similar open-to-the-public press conference with Pacquiao and Joshua Clottey months before their fight at Cowboys Stadium last March. Pacquiao defeated Clottey by unanimous decision in front of 50,994 in the first-ever boxing match in Arlington.

But while the world waits for the real showdown between Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr., for now they'll have to settle for a matchup with Margarito, who recently received his boxing license in Texas to be able to participate in this fight.

And you can be there, not only for the Nov. 13 matchup, but the pre-fight press conference, which is free and open to the public on Friday, Sept. 3 at 11:30 a.m. (CDT).
