Roster Breakdown:
Jason Witten - Doesn't have the rings like Novacek or DuPree, but everything else says he's the best tight end in Cowboys history.
Martellus Bennett - All of the funny business aside, Bennett looks ready to take the next step as a consistent weapon for this offense.
Rodney Hannah - Hand injury kept him out of action this summer. If he can return in time, he has the tools to win third tight end spot.
John Phillips - Rookie tight end has college connections with position coach and his draft status doesn't hurt. He'll get every opportunity to win the job.
Scott Chandler - Local product from Southlake, Texas who came in late. But he has some experience and needs to use that to his advantage.
