IRVING, Texas --Alabama safety Mark Barron and Mississippi State defensive end Fletcher Cox -- possibly the two players most-linked to the Cowboys with the No. 14 pick.
Will they last that long on Thursday night? NFL Network draft analyst Mike Mayock sees a couple of teams that could scoop them up before then.
"Barron is one of the best players in this draft and I think he's going to go between 10 and 15," Mayock said in a conference call last week. "... There are other teams that could step up. I mean, look at Buffalo with (No.) 10, for instance. They are going to play New England twice a year with those tight ends.
"To me, Mark Barron and (Boston College linebacker) Luke Kuechly are two logical guys for Buffalo."
Mayock also sees Cox as a potential match for Carolina at No. 9, and some projections have him moving into the top six picks.
