IRVING, Texas – Though it wasn't a full-pads practice, the Cowboys should be encouraged that linebacker Anthony Spencer and center Phil Costa both dressed out for the second straight day.
Spencer and Costa were on the field Thursday after practicing on a limited basis the day prior. Spencer missed the last two games with a pectoral strain, while an issue with Costa's knee landed the center on the injury report Wednesday.
Punter Brian Moorman was listed as a limited participant Wednesday, despite booting the ball well during the media portion of practice. He was on the field again Thursday, while Chris Jones wasn't seen. Jones fought through a knee sprain to punt Sunday against the Ravens.
The health of Costa could be crucial this weekend, as centers Ryan Cook (hamstring) and Kevin Kowalski (ankle) weren't practicing. If neither Costa nor Cook can play this weekend, David Arkin would be the likely replacement.
As expected, running back DeMarco Murray (foot) and defensive lineman Sean Lissemore (ankle) both didn't practice for the second straight day.
