FRISCO, Texas – Defensive end Randy Gregory is not expected to practice Wednesday as the Cowboys start their on-field preparations for the Giants, head coach Jason Garrett said.
Gregory suffered a knee injury and then a concussion in the second quarter of last Sunday's 16-8 loss to the Panthers and did not return to the game.
Garrett said Gregory remains in concussion protocol, but the team is hopeful that he'll be ready to go as the week goes on.
Others not practicing during the portion open to the media included starting safety Xavier Woods and reserve defensive tackle Datone Jones, who did not play against Carolina.
Center Travis Frederick continues to recover from Gullain-Barre Syndrome since being diagnosed in late August. There's no timetable for his return to on-field activities.
Defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence was dressed for practice and worked on resistance cords during the open portion.
