Former Cowboys fullback Robert Newhouse was a fan favorite during and even after his 12-year playing career was over.
Fans and friends wishing to pay their respects to Newhouse, who passed away last week at the age of 64, can attend a public visitation for the former fullback Thursday, July 31 at Sparkman/Hillcrest Funeral Home in Dallas. The visitation will be from 7-8 p.m.
On Friday, funeral services for Newhouse will be held at Prestonwood Baptist Church in Dallas at 11 a.m., with a public reception to follow.
Newhouse played from 1972-83 but also spent many years in the Cowboys' organization following his playing career. One of the first former players to be hired by the Cowboys after Jerry Jones bought the team, Newhouse was the director of alumni and player programs.
