Ellis played fewer snaps Monday night than his 15 plays against St. Louis because the Cowboys didn't use as many nickel packages against Buffalo. So far, the 10th-year veteran is easing back into the rotation by lining up as a defensive end in pass-rushing situations.

You've got to put it behind you and then focus on the task at hand. But he's shown that he can handle coming back from adversity from what happened (the botched hold) in the playoff game last year."

"They want to bring a lot of pressure and give you a lot of different looks," tight end Jason Witten said. "(Harrison) is a smart player - he's been in it a long time. He can play with the quarterback a little bit. He's an emotional leader. I think a lot of the things they try to do feeds off him. Having him back, I think that's a big emotional player for them."
