Cowboys' QB Tony Romo wears the No. 9 on the field, but the birth of his first child was full of eights.
Hawkins Crawford Romo was born – eight pounds and eight ounces - on Monday at 5:30 p.m. At least Monday was the ninth day of April.
The family reported both Hawkins, and his mother Candice are doing well.
Candice, formerly Candice Crawford, a former Miss Missouri winner, married Tony last summer.
Romo should be well rested when the Cowboys return to the field for the start of OTAs and mini-camps in mid-May. The start of training camp is expected in late July in Oxnard, Calif.
