While Tony Romo is one of the favorites this weekend at the American Century Celebrity Go lf Championship at Lake Tahoe, he didn't disappoint after the first round.
Playing in a group of Aaron Rodgers and Jerry Rice, Romo is tied for fourth with a round of 73, giving him 20 points in the unique scoring system for this tourney. He is currently behind Mark Mulder, Jack Wagner and Ryan Longwell.
But with training camp starting next Wednesday with a three-day session for rookies and quarterbacks, Romo's mind is on football and his teammate Dez Bryant.
Romo commented on Bryant, who was arrested on family domestic violence charges with an incident with his mother on Monday.
Romo told *NFL Network *Bryant is a "good kid who will learn." Romo also said: "you pray for him and let him know I'm there."
Bryant is expected to be with his teammates reporting to Oxnard, Calif. on July 28 with the first practice slated for July 30.
Joining Romo in the tournament are Miles Austin, Jason Witten and Emmitt Smith, who all played together in the first round.
