IRVING, Texas --Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has spoken with Tony Romo this week -- that's not unusual by any means during the season, win or lose -- but said his starting quarterback doesn't need any reassurance on the heels of last Sunday's fourth-quarter meltdown.
Romo has pledged to be more careful with the ball after his two turnovers contributed to 17 unanswered points by the Jets in a 27-24 loss.
"I look at his preparation, his dedication and his grasp of the game and then I look at his skills. I weigh all of that. I'm certainly very sensitive about protecting the ball. When I weigh that whole area of input, he's good enough."
