IRVING, Texas --Inside linebacker and defensive captain Bradie James got one snap against the Bills' spread attack last Sunday. Cornerback Frank Walker started the game and the Cowboys often deployed extra defensive backs against multiple Bills wideouts.
Ryan is anxious to get James back on the field this Sunday against Washington against what he expects to be more traditional offensive formations.
"When the other team's going to play football, Bradie's going to be out there," Ryan said Friday. "Until teams want to line up and play football . . . I mean, these guys are giving us four- and five-wide receiver sets, guys. If you have a roster full of great secondary guys, you've got to get them in the game.
"This should be his type of game. Last week definitely was not."
With Sean Lee back from a wrist injury, James and Keith Brooking should continue to split snaps in the base defense. Rookie Bruce Carter is slowly working into the rotation as well.
