Not that Cowboys safety Gerald Sensabaugh wasn't saying pretty much the same thing when we talked to him last, but NFL.com Jason La Canfora caught up with the representative of the free agent to be on Tuesday.
Kevin Conner says, basically, what we already knew. Sensabaugh is more than willing to test the market, but is also interested in returning to Dallas.
*"Our main goal and objective for Gerald is to secure a long-term deal," Conner said. "We are strategically preparing for that opportunity, both with Dallas and the free-agent market. We have contingency plans for both scenarios. Gerald fully understands the nature of this side of the business."
*Sensabaugh played under one-year deals for the Cowboys in 2009 and 2010, and clearly wants more stability. He had said he didn't want a one-year contract after the '09 season, but didn't have much of a choice under the league's uncapped system.
"You just want to be satisfied, at the end of the day," Sensabaugh said in January. "The whole 'test the market,' it's not like that. If it comes to it, I wouldn't mind."
